That’s the National Archives’ estimate of deaths in the American Revolution. 25,000 giving their lives for Liberty and Justice for all.
365,000 dead during the Civil War to make sure all had the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
521,000 helping free Europe in WW1 and WW2.
Many others. Some for Liberty, others lost for less noble reasons. We remember and honor the memory of all who have given their life in service upholding the rights endowed by God.
We are reminded that Liberty and Justice require constant vigilance against those who would suppress it.
This Memorial Day week celebrate Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

And a verse: See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:8
